Cohesion Monitor Vacancy

INTRODUCTION

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission was established by the National Cohesion and Integration Act of 2008. The objective and purpose for which the Commission is established is to facilitate and promote equality of opportunity, good relations, harmony and peaceful coexistence between persons of different ethnic and racial communities of Kenya and to advise the Government on all aspects thereof.

The Commission conducts its activities across all the 47 Counties with a focus on the hotspot counties. However, the Commission lacks regional or county offices hence relying on its networks to execute its mandate. Some of its networks include the offices of the County Commissioners in respective counties, council of elders,
peace committees, CSOs, CBOs, NGOs, and FBOs among others. Collaboration and cooperation with these networks has been commendable, however it is important to have presence in terms of representatives who will solely dedicate their tasks and
