Legibra is seeking a seasoned, talented Web designer and Developer to join our creative team. We are looking for a dynamic, high performing person with over 5 years of Web design experience with a robust portfolio to match that is nimble in the fine art of designing for content management systems and is proficient in Photoshop.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a team of talented designers and developers on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Project management, designing and developing in collaboration with the team.
Able to design and build compelling websites from scratch: From conceptualization, wireframing, storyboards, and user and process flows, to engineering.
Ability to drive complex design projects with multiple stakeholders to successful completion and strong outcomes for the business.
Strong written communication skills to help write and edit website copy.
Explain complex digital ideas to non-tech savvy individuals in a user friendly way.
Stay up to date with the latest Web design trends, techniques, and technologies.
Apply high-level strategic thinking and deliver creative/innovative bespoke customer experiences.
Sufficient poise, confidence, and communication skills to speak credibly with partnering groups and present creative concepts.
Have great knowledge and awareness of the website design and development market (e.g. customers, users, industry, technology, vendors, etc.) and use this knowledge to assist in product strategy and direction.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to be successful for this role, must be able to show examples of web design work you have done and have proven coding experience working within a similar role with excellent knowledge of; (HTML5/CSS3), JavaScript, JQuery or other JavaScript libraries. You will also need:
Proven experience within a similar role and knowledge of PHP programming, MySQL writing and administration.
Extensive knowledge of Adobe creative suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator)
Experience in developing custom WordPress-based solutions. Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions, maintain and create plugins/widgets written to conform to WordPress coding standards. Theme and template development and integration.
Familiarity with web standards and usability, keeping in mind commercial and SEO considerations when designing and building WordPress website.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated with a passion for pixel perfection, consistency, organization, usability, and discoverability.
