The Administrative Officer will provide effective administrative support to the office in respect to office management, logistics and functions, procurement, human resources management and accounting and finance functions to ensure effective support to institutional operations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Qualifications
A business degree from a recognised university
Technical training in human resources management will be an advantage
Knowledge of Foreign language ( French) and Accounting and Finance knowledge and skills will also be added advantage
Experience
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Relevant experience in international development or research organisation will be an advantage
Proven human resource management experience will be an asset
Skills
Proficiency in ICT and operations software
Organisational and management skills, strong ability to multi-task
Understanding of and ability to work with policies and procedures of an organisation
Excellent interpersonal skills- flexibility, teamwork, self-motivation, initiative and attention to detail
An ability to prioritise, plan and organise work in a busy environment
An understanding of health and safety issues in the workplace
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and be self-motivated
Excellent communication skills
Additional information:
The above positions will be for a period of 2 years, renewable depending on performance, continued need of the institute and availability of funding. A competitive remuneration package will be offered commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience. A lady would be more preferred
