Reporting to Head of Finance
Assist to analyze and classify insurance risks to determine their potential impact on company assets.
Assist to analyze information to assess the current and future financial status of firms providing insurance and brokerage services.
Participate in insurance negotiations, selection of insurance brokers and carriers, and place insurance covers as authorized.
Establish and maintain relationships with service providers.
Assist in establishing procedures for custody and control of insurance records.
Examine, evaluate, and process claim supporting documents through relevant departments.
Coordinate risk and insurance programs of company establishments to control risks and losses.
Liaise with loss adjusters, claim assessors, risk assessors, valuers and other consultants to ensure claims are properly adjusted for timely compensation.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Commerce (Insurance) Option from a recognized university
Diploma from College of Insurance
At least 5 years relevant experience
Working knowledge of arbitration, claims adjustments, and Risk surveys’ will be an added advantage.
