JOB PURPOSE
Reporting directly to the Head of Satellite Office the Monitoring Assistant will be tasked with Monitoring all WFP supported activities, ensuring that WFP Relief and Recovery Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Secondary school education, supplemented with experience or additional training in logistics, education, statistics, transport, social services, nutrition, agriculture, business administration or other related field.
At least three years of progressively responsible support experience including at least one year in the field of project implementation, including monitoring, logistics, coordination and reporting, accounting, transport, insurance, statistics or another related field
DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE
Good knowledge and experience in using computers with knowledge of Microsoft software applications (MS Word, Excel and Access). Training and/or experience in using computers including Word, Excel and other software used by WFP.
Strong inter-personal skills, courtesy, tact and the ability to work and communicate effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. Ability to interpret and analyse a wide variety of programme issues and statistical information, and to maintain accurate and precise records.
Ability to work systematically, use initiative, good judgement and to communicate complex matters both orally and in writing; proven ability to work in a team environment and achieve common goals.
Very good knowledge of English and Kiswahili.
