KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme (KWTRP) – Assistant Research Officer

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:To carry out observation at three hospitals in the Nairobi. Comprehensive note taking is expected and good written English is important. Additionally, the Assistant is expected to help plan, carry out and transcribe interviews for the qualitative research study with mothers of sick neonates

QUALIFICATIONS:
An undergraduate degree in Public Health, Community Health and development, Project Management, Health Systems Research, Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology or its equivalent from a recognized institution. (Those with a nursing, pharmacy, medical or lab training background will NOT be considered)
One year relevant work experience
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft applications
