We are looking for an energetic and proactive individual to fill a position of External Sales Executive in Safmarine based in Mombasa reporting to the Safmarine East Africa Cluster Head based in Nairobi.

The candidate must have strong shipping knowledge, understand the Sales cycle and have the ability to close direct sales. You should have a passion for Customers, seek constant improvement, creative and energetic, driven and a Team player. You should have good oral and written communication a self-starter, efficient, decisive and result orientated.

The incumbent must be able to:
• Deliver volume and revenue targets of his/her own while remaining focused on relationship building
• Manage sales pipeline, segmentation, and accurate forecasting
• Monitor performance against KPI and take corrective action where necessary
• Own and develop his/her allocated customers

Who we are looking for
• Graduate with over 3 years experience in Sales
• Prospects for new accounts or opportunities
• Grows and up-sells to existing accounts, focusing on growth and profitability
• Strong ability to qualify leads
• Strong ability to develop winning customer value propositions
• Successfully manages negotiation process
• Builds strong and lasting relationships at all levels, focusing on decision makers and influencers
• Builds and maintains a strong network of customers
• Thoroughly understands customer drivers, needs and requirements
• Leverages internal and external financial data to build winning strategies and understand account economics
• Builds and executes winning account strategies
• Has good product knowledge
• Has good knowledge about market, competitor and industry trends
