About this role
As an IT Officer, you’ll be responsible in offering user support, help-desk management and first tier infrastructure support – ensuring that the respective IT infrastructure and systems are readily available to the users. This role will work in collaboration with the head quarter IT Operations team to refine and build new systems in the respective Komaza branch office(s).

What you will do
Maintenance and repair of network infrastructure and architecture
Control over and maintenance of user accounts
Support of IT facilities for use in training and meetings
Execute specification, ordering and installation of equipment and software in line with IT budget Vs requirements
Participate in research and recommendation of improved processes and technologies to include growth planning
Train new and current employee on computer software and ICT systems in line with established ICT standards and policies
Create and maintain inventory of hardware, software and other ICT peripherals on site on the implemented centralized asset management tools
Assist with preparation of operating budgets based on estimate and actual expenditures for ICT systems and support needs on site

What you have
Bachelor’s degree or higher within information technologies, or substantial working experience within relevant fields and have obtained and maintained relevant certificates
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within the ICT technical field
A plus if you have a CCNA certificate, A+ certificate
Passion for Komaza’s mission to lift rural farmers out of poverty through the rapid scaling of our microforestry model
Strong familiarity with the communities where we plant; you have lived or worked in rural low-income communities
Supreme organisational, critical thinking, and communications skills with impeccable spoken and written English
