The Community Development Officer (CDO) will mobilize and develop the capacities of donkey owners, users and related community stakeholders to improve donkey welfare and livelihoods.
The CDO will be conversant with agribusiness undertakings of communities.
S/he will be involved in development and execution of project strategies and plans, monitoring and evaluation as well as reporting.
The minimum qualification for the position is a relevant University Degree and at least three years’ experience, working with rural and peri-urban communities in development empowerment programmes.
Candidates with knowledge and experience in project management will have an added advantage.
The winning candidate will have exceptional experience mobilizing, organizing and training communities in various skills. S/he will have natural passion to engage in and influence behaviour-change and group dynamics, be innovative and able to write quality reports as practically proven and able to build working relationships with different partners. Fundraising skills and a clean 3-year plus, driving licence will be an added advantage.
