icipe seeks to recruit a Geospatial Research Officer. The position is tenable in Nairobi at the icipe Duduville campus. This is a two-year contract, renewable subject to continued project needs, funding for the position, and performance of the staff member. This is a nationally recruited position. Overall Purpose of the Job


The position is responsible for providing day-to-day GIS and earth observation technical tasks to icipe’s 4-H paradigm (Environmental, Plant, Human, and Animal Health Themes). Also, the Geospatial Research Officer will be responsible for developing scalable quantitative and qualitative geospatial ecological niche models for monitoring Fall Armyworm and its parasitoids distribution and propagation.
