The post-holder will coordinate a study on iron homeostasis in hospitalized children and subsequently extract data, analyze and finally generate a report. The post-holder will conduct laboratory assays on iron biomarkers and other related assays, conduct literature review and analyze epidemiological data investigating the relationship between iron status, nutrition and infection in hospitalized children.

A BSc degree in nutrition and dietetics, public health or any science related course from a recognized institution.
At least one-year relevant health research experience.

Post-graduate training in research methods and/or statistical analysis.
Experience in use of statistical packages e.g. STATA and R.
Experience of conducting literature reviews
Experience working in a medical research environment.
Based at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme in Kilifi, Kenya.
