Kabarak University Enterprises invites applications from interested and suitable qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions in the University Enterprises. The University is a Christian institution committed to Christian Biblical principles and values and the successful candidate will be required to uphold this value system.
VACANT POSITIONS:
Cooks: Five (5) Positions – KABUE 7 Ref. 27/11/19/4
For appointment into this position, applicants should have the following:
Person Profile.
- Should be at least a KCSE Certificate Holder with minimum C-.
- Should have a Certificate in food production preferably from Kenya Utalii College.
- At least 5 years of work experience in a catering department of a busy institution or a large Kitchen.
- Should Posses excellent knowledge of food production and menu planning.
- Should display good leadership qualities; be of good character and able to work under minimum supervision in a very busy kitchen.
- Should be innovative in culinary art and in general of menu presentation.
- Demonstrate understanding of HACCP standards.
Job Profile
Reporting to the chief chef and shall be responsible for the following key areas:
- Carrying out procedures for efficient and effective provision of catering services as predefined by the management.
- Preparation of quality food that meets the clients standards.
- Maintaining order and the general cleanliness status of the Kitchen
- Corporate hospitality and events catering.
- self hygiene and general kitchen and food handling hygiene
- Production of a variety of meals, Beverages, soups, sauces and salads for all cultures.
- Production of international dishes from time to time.
REMUNERATION AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Appointments to the positions will be on a Three years contract, renewable on mutual agreement with a six month probation period upon appointment. A competitive compensation package will be offered to successful candidates. Kabarak University Enterprises Ltd is an equal opportunity employer.
