Profile Introduction: Our client, in the financial industry, is seeking to recruit a Credit & Operations Manager.
Role Summary: Responsible for business development and operations of the branch while ensuring staff engagement, customer satisfaction, profitability and growth in line with the client’s strategy.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Be a holder of bachelor’s in business related field;
- Professional qualifications such as CPA (K), AKIB, ACCA will be an added advantage
- At least 3 years managerial experience
Job Specification – Credit & Operations Manager
1. Marketing & Business growth
- Grow the loan portfolio
- Grow the product rage
- Diversify the clients market segments
- Cross sell the client’s products to existing customers
- Monitor/Maintain existing loan portfolio and grow loan book
- Grow the trade business of the branch
- Achieve revenue growth targets
- Achieve projected profit levels
2. Debt recovery & Management of non-performing assets
- Reduce the clients non-performing loans by an agreed percentage
- Monitor performance of non-performing assets with reports
- Follow up with customers and improve status
- Increase the collection of arrears
3. Financial performance
- Increase the client’s revenue streams
- Manage the client’s costs
- Return on investment
- Increase client’s profitability
- Grow the client’s capital and asset base
- Manage expenditure
- Ensure there are no revenue leakages
4. Customer service
- Achieve agreed customer satisfaction levels
- Achieve agreed customer retention levels
- Achieve customer service standards
- Achieve service level agreements standards
- Complaint handling
- Branch queue management
- Respond to customer complaints within the stipulated times
- Ensure all processes are up and running
5. Branch cash operations
- Ensure efficiency of funds in the branch
- Cash evacuations and repatriations
- Ensure efficient CIT operations
- Cash variances – minimum 1 month/fake currencies
6. Staff Management & Supervision
- Improve on staff productivity
- Implement staff training and development target
- Staff resourcing to meet business needs
- HR Operational targets
- Branch leave management
- Implement staff rotation programs
- Manage staff discipline & Grievances
- Manage branch productivity
7. Operations, Control & Business maintenance
- Achieve the client’s risk management control
- Enhance the client’s operational control standard
- Compliance to statutory requirements
- Ensure necessary reconciliations are done daily
- Make branch returns within the stipulated time
Competencies
- Strong selling, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to lead teams and deliver business results
- Knowledge of operational policies, procedures and legal issues relevant to credit operations
