Reporting Supervisor: Controller and Internal Audit Manager

Job Purpose: The primary job function of the CCTV Control Room Operator is to ensure safety and security of the people, product, cash and property within Lintons premises via surveillance of the CCTV Network. The person shall be responsible for monitoring and documenting inconsistencies that pertain to the safety and security of employees, facilities, product, cash and property.

Scope of Service

Operations

  • Inform (without delay) to the proper personnel of any missing, damaged, or inoperative equipment or communications, alarm, CCTV, or other systems
  • Handle (without delay) complaints and unusual/critical event information to the Security Team
  • Reviewing and / play-back of footage in the event of any investigation (only with authority from the Security in Charge.
  • Monitor conduct of persons in sensitive areas such as cash till, shop floor, back office, warehouse, reception, main entrance, etc. and report the same to Security In Charge in order to control theft, misuse, damage and corruption in the hospital.
  • Limited simple maintenance of the CCTV control room equipment.

Reporting

  • Recording of all occurrences incidents in the security occurrence book and provides occurrence reports at the end of day/shift on activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, entry and presence of unauthorized persons to restricted areas and other, or unusual occurrences in the business premises.
  • Controller protects and ensures proper use of all CCTV/ Control room equipment.
  • Submission of regular reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Annually, etc.)

Special assignments and events support

  • Provide monitoring and coverage of events and activations taking place in the company’s business premises.
  • Provide detailed reports on the special assignments/events after completion

Training

  • Participate in personal training and development in order to maintain an understanding of current CCTV legislation and regulations.

Measurable Deliverables

  • Submission of regular reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Annually, etc.)
    Ability to capture and report on relevant and high risk issues
  • Ability to provide comprehensive and detailed reports, useful to decision makers.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Security Studies combined with IT
  • Certificates in Fire Safety and First Aid is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Basic Networking.
  • Knowledge of professional standards and best practices.

Experience

  • At least 3-4 years proven experience in operating CCTV equipment and Video Management Software(s) (VMS)
  • Experience and understanding of day to day security operations
  • Experience in a retail and warehousing environment is also an added advantage.

  • Ability to think through problems for logical solutions, and remain calm and professional under stress
