Job Description

Our client is a well established textile company in the manufacturing sector with operations across East Africa. They now seek to recruit a dynamic, exceptional and visionary leader with good professional and ethical standing to fill the position of the General Manager, Corporate Services.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiate the formulation of administrative policies, systems and procedures for the organization;
  • Establish and maintain sound financial, human resource, administrative, ICT procedures in compliance with statutory regulations;
  • Participate in the preparation of Strategic plans;
  • Provide technical guidance on matters Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Administration, ICT, Sales and Marketing and Strategy and Planning;
  • Co-ordination of directorate activities by providing responsible advice and counsel to the Company;
  • Management and coordination of Financial Services;
  • Prepare Board and Management/Statutory reports;
  • Co-ordinate recruitment, deployment, remuneration, staff performance, development and discipline of human resources;
  • Management of assets and services to support each core functions in administration/logistics requirements to facilitate service delivery;
  • Co-ordinate information exchange with all stakeholders and the public to ensure customer expectations are met;

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Must be a Kenyan citizen.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in business related field such as (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Human Resource Management/Development, Computer Science, Public Administration or any other equivalent from a recognized University).
  • Must have a Master’s degree in any of the following fields: Business Administration, Finance, Human Resource Management/Development, Computer Science, Public Administration or any other equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Must have at least ten (10) years cumulative work experience, five (5) of which should have been at Managerial level in a reputable organization.
  • Certificate in leadership course not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be compliant with the provisions of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya and avail clearance certificate from KRA, HELB, EACC, CRB and Certificate of Good Conduct.
  • Must be a member of a professional body and in good standing.

  • Directorate of Criminal Investigation – Certificate of Good Conduct.
  • Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) – Tax Compliance
  • Higher Education Loans Board – (HELB)
  • Ethics and Anti – Corruption Commission (EACC)
  • Credit Reference Bureau ( CRB)
