Job Requirements
- Minimum of BA/BSc Degree in Project management, Social Science, M&E or relevant disciplines
- Minimum 3 years working experience of monitoring project in particular humanitarian and developmental projects/programs in Kenya/Horn of Africa
- Competence to guide research staff in the design of uptake-oriented social/project management research in government and/or humanitarian organizations
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in M&E and learning, preferably on INGOs or donor-funded programs in Kenya/Africa
- Experience of developing theories of change, log frames, indicators and outcome/impact measurement- essential
- Experience of monitoring and evaluating programmes/projects-essential
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis –essential
- Experience of writing and presenting reports and briefings–essential
- Experience of designing systems and tools–essential
- Experience of training and mentoring staff–essential
- Knowledge of current good practice in MEL methodologies–essential
- Trainings in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Database management, etc. is preferred
- Physical fitness and willingness to trek to remote project sites is essential
Skills, abilities and knowledge Requirements
- Experience of developing theories of change, log frames, indicators and outcome/impact measurement- essential

- Sound database management, analysis and interpretation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Familiarity in baseline, midline and endline reviews and evaluations- essential
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis –essential
- Experience of writing and presenting reports and briefings–essential
- Fluency in written and spoken English as well as a critical eye for editing and grammar and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously – essential
- Demonstrable experience and skills in the use of software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, database programs, the internet, electronic media etc;
- Effective organizational skills for handling work in a timely manner, and ability to coordinate tasks to meet deadlines- essential
- Prior NGO experience is required.

- Willingness to work out of office hours occasionally when necessary- essential
