Job brief

Responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities, planning and implementing new sales plans. Set short and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs. Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Responsible for providing leadership and managing a team of sales personnel to meet the Company’s operational and growth objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Developing SMART sales strategies for the market to support the overall Merican’s strategy and business plan in the achievement of the business objectives
  2. Leading the implementation of the SMART strategies and initiatives for the Merican’s Sales Team
  • Setting sales and marketing KPI’s to manage activity within the teams;
  1. Day to day management of the sales team ensuring they are on track for achieving KPI’s;
  2. Promote the Company’s existing brands and introducing new products to the market;
  3. Ensuring the sales team update the client relationship management databases or software effectively with all appropriate data;
  • Planning and arranging for relevant industry events, exhibitions and conferences;
  • Analyzing budgets, preparing annual budget plans, scheduling expenditure and ensuring that the sales team meet their sales quotas and goals;
  1. Researching and developing marketing opportunities, understanding customer requirements, identifying market trends and suggesting systems improvements to achieve the Company’s marketing goals
  2. Implementing new sales plans and advertising
  3. Assist in recruiting, training, coaching and managing marketing and sales teams to meet sales and marketing human resource objectives
  • Building and maintaining partnerships to help grow the business
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or related field. Registration to a relevant sales professional body will be added advantage
  • 3-5 years’ experience in equipment Sales and Marketing
  • Excellent knowledge of CRM systems and best practices
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills
  • Expert in sales management leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead a team and meet quotas
  • Past experience in sales role in a similar Company manufacturing Commercial food and beverage equipments will be an added advantage.
