An upcoming hotel based in Naivasha, seeks to hire a highly competent, self-driven and result oriented Chef.
Responsibilities
- Oversee restaurant’s kitchen by supervising the Kitchen team, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes, experimenting with recipes and suggesting new ingredients.
- Manage inventory of stock and requisition of raw materials.
- Ensure food safety best practices, compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
- Control budgets and minimize wastage, monitor cost and provide recommendations and guidance.
Requirements
- Certificate from a recognised culinary institution. A Diploma or degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in star rated institution
- Training in culinary arts, creative flair, strong communication, organisation, teamwork and leadership skills
- Excellent supervisory experience and knowledge in kitchen operation including management of people, handling complex problems, food and beverage management.
