Minimum Job Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in IVD Marketing (preferred) or Pharmaceutical Industries; regional marketing experience is also desirable
  • Experience in the diagnostics market
  • Prior marketing experience in molecular diagnostics and markets will be important
  • Strategic thinking and in depth understanding of the current market environment is a requirement
  • Strong market analytics skills and business case modelling is required
  • Strong track record of success creating strategic insights, and developing subsequent business cases and implementation plans
  • Demonstrate knowledge of products and markets; communicate effectively and be a strong team player/collaborator with various internal colleagues, customers and other stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation skills; ability to multi-task across a broad number of products and disease states
  • Good knowledge in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is desired
  • Experience in sales would be a strong plus
  • Experience working directly with thought leaders and KOLs in relevant areas is required
  • Prior product launch and product development experience is desirable


Segment strategy and planning

  • Identify unmet customer needs and new product/market opportunities in existing and new segments within the High Growth Markets by utilizing structured customer insight processes
  • Develop market and opportunity financial models
  • Drive the development of new product concepts, both ROBAL and Flex, in close collaboration with global marketing, scientific affairs, R&D, and other internal stakeholders
  • Develop segmentation and targeting strategy for focus segments in EMEA
  • Represent EMEA Marketing in phase one of Launch Excellence core teams
  • Interact and collaborate with Global Access on strategic initiatives

Strategic Marketing Activities

  • Develop Regional strategic marketing and business segment plans
  • Participate and contribute in the annual strategic planning process
  • Interact and collaborate with Global Access on strategic initiatives
  • Work with Product Management team to develop coherent segment-based pricing strategies
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers across the focus and adjacent segments
  • Monitor global and regional market trends and opportunities


  • Expertise with complex, multi-departmental healthcare sales is highly desirable
  • Must be effective when working in cross functional teams with a proven track record working with geographically dispersed team members
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to deliver complex information into a simplified manner for the audience to understand.
  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret business periodicals, scientific journals, technical procedures, package inserts, and regulatory regulations.
  • Needs to be a creative problem solver
  • Enthusiasm, strong interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Understanding of region-wide cultural differences and approaches

Other Requirements

  • Requires 30-50% travel

Must be fluent in English and other languages are an advantage
