Job Title: PR & Influencer Marketing Lead

Reports to: Country Manager

BeautyClick is looking for a digitally savvy, content marketing mind to develop and execute our partnerships with influencers, agents and brand ambassadors.

At BeautyClick, we’ve partnered with micro and macro influencers all over Kenya who include celebrities, bloggers, makeup artists & fashion enthusiasts.

We also have a team of agents and brand ambassadors who help drive our vision. BeautyClick Agents & Brand Ambassadors are individuals from different industries and regions all over Kenya who love beauty and often recommend our products to their clients, friends and communities online and offline.

Our agents and brand ambassadors earn recurring commissions on each sale they refer. They are free to use our materials to get the word out about BeautyClick, our products and offerings. Anyone with a good network and has a passion for the beauty industry can become our brand ambassador or agent.

As the PR and influencer marketing lead, you will also be required to handle some PR duties for our company.

You will work with our brand ambassadors and influencers to create fun and engaging content & maintain positive partnerships with our agents to grow the brand.

Summary of overall Key roles & responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should have some experience creating content that increases engagement and drives leads on social media platforms. The candidate should be a digital savvy individual who loves the social media world. He/she should be well-organized to plan and run our influencer campaigns across all platforms including but not limited to IG, FB, YouTube & Blog.

He/she will be responsible for maintaining key relationships with industry thought leaders and influencers in a way that builds brand awareness and loyalty. The candidate must have a vibrant personality, a learning attitude and a solid understanding of who we are as a brand and who our target customers are.

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Journalism or a related field
  • 1 to 2 years of experience creating content online or working with influencers
  • Excellent knowledge of social media best practices
  • Experience developing content campaigns on social media platforms, blogs among other online channels
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Experience working with influencers or managing brand partnerships is an added advantage

Specific duties include:-


  • Interview industry professionals and incorporate their views in blog posts
  • Develop, edit and proofread written copy/video content before publication
  • Identify customer needs and recommend new topics for content to be shared across different channels e.g newsletters, blog posts
  • Perform keyword research and use SEO guidelines to come up with optimized content
  • Ensure content posted on the website is engaging, informative and appealing
  • Report on key social media KPIs
  • Monitor user engagement and suggest content optimization strategies

Influencer management

  • Work with the marketing team to plan and implement a creative influencer marketing strategy
  • Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Build and maintain relationships with prominent influencers, brand ambassadors, agents and thought leaders in the industry
  • Communicate with different partners e.g complementary brands and develop great content ideas to create a strong network
  • Research on relevant industry experts/competitors and their users/target audience
  • Brainstorm new and creative approaches of developing influencer campaigns
  • Keep abreast of emerging influencers and thought leaders in the industry
  • Identify potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing.
  • Providing support for marketing events and exhibitions when required
  • Report on the success of every influencer campaign or promotions done
  • Monitoring the success of any brand partnerships/influencer relationships

Public Relations

  • Develop press materials for media outlets, including press releases, feature articles, and trend stories
  • Evaluate public opinion of clients through surveys, social media listening etc
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with regional and national media outlets
  • Arrange for press interviews, and other media and event appearances
  • Respond to requests for information from media outlets
  • Evaluate advertising and promotional programs to ensure they align with PR goals
  • Track, evaluate, and share results of PR efforts
  • Organize events & PR activities
