About the project
We are looking for a Chief of Party who will provide leadership to the consortium for an exciting new programme called Kenya Skills for Prosperity (KS4P).
Kenya Skills for Prosperity (KS4P) is a new programme that will improve access to HE and TVET education for marginalised and unemployed youth, will strengthen education to industry links and develop an enabling environment for a strong skills ecosystem through technical assistance and capacity building.
The Chief of Party will ensure the effective design and implementation of activities and impact by consortium partners, ensuring efficiency and cost effectiveness. You will be providing overall representation and coordination between agencies, liaising with donors, the Consortium Steering and Technical Advisory group.
You will be accountable for the consortium contract management, compliance and reporting for KS4P.
The successful post-holder will be encouraged to develop an influencing strategy to advance the objectives of the programme.
This role is based in Kenya. It will require frequent travel across the region.
You will have demonstrable experience of overseeing programmatic performance and ensuring the effective design and implementation of activities and impact by all stakeholders.
You will have the skills required to manage multiple priorities and programme activities and be comfortable working with various stakeholders at multiple levels, providing strategic guidance, leadership, management, and general technical oversight of the entire project with a focus on results.
You will be experienced in having financial oversight of budgets and expenditure, maintaining controls and compliance with relevant legal frameworks.
You will enjoy building successful networks and developing relationships to ensure effective representation and communication of initiatives to relevant stakeholders.
You will be passionate about sharing learning, embedding quality and rigour at every level, developing internal communication and knowledge tools to do this.
