You, as the Delivery Manager with CloudFactory, will be a strong leader and coaching mentor to extremely talented Delivery Leads (CloudFactory’s Delivery Leads are the bridge between two sets of Clients: Customers, who are the source of the data processing work, and the cloud workers, who get the processing work done. They guide the conversations between the two Clients to make sure there is alignment across the board on the work we’re performing). You will be leading multiple self-managing project teams that are responsible for the ongoing delivery and success of projects.
As a strong leader and coaching mentor, you will share your project management knowledge and skills and develop your team members to be the most successful project managers in the market. The goal is that through your guidance, they will eventually be better at project management than you. To put it plain and simply, your success is the success of those who you lead.
Along with developing and leading a high-performance team, you will be accountable for the the success of a portfolio of accounts and projects to ensure that all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and/or Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and all Clients are highly satisfied (Customer NPS and Cloud Worker NPS) with CloudFactory’s service and performance. This includes managing aspects such as scope, profit margins, revenue, growth strategies, cost schedules, and also applying techniques to enhance performance, planning, tracking, change management, and risk management.
In summary of the job, you are responsible for both leadership and project management. Success in people leadership looks like supporting and serving your team to become the best they can be at CloudFactory, while success in project management looks like exceeding KPIs for each account you’re responsible for.

Being close to the Customers and the cloud workers will require getting your hands dirty from time-to-time and the ability to go into the details of projects. You need to be able to understand the work we do, how we do it, and why we do it. Fitting with us requires the ability to be flexible with working times as most of our clients are in the US, Australia, and Europe.
You must be willing to think beyond your typical job description and help support CloudFactory in a multitude of areas.
You are an excellent all-around communicator — verbal, written, and interpersonal. You’ve also got a high EQ (emotional intelligence) and the ability to work with all types of people. You’ll need to empathize with our Customers and work cross-culturally with team members across the globe.

The experience required to work in this role is at least 5+ years doing Western-style Client communication and experience in successfully managing large multi-million dollar projects and leading large dynamic high-performing teams. You have experience working with highly capable and driven individuals and have the nous to handle tough situations. Project management, general management, and experience in a high-growth tech company are a plus. Candidates must be currently located in Nairobi, Kenya, or willing to relocate for the role.
