We are looking for a Sales Account Director to join our Team. We’re looking for somebody with a knack for people, ideas and sales. A person who loves a challenge and doesn’t take no for an answer. The position requires daily communication (in-person and video calls) and service of our agencies and brands. You will be comprehensively trained on the product set that you would sell.
This role comprises the following responsibilities
- Represent a global platform at the same standard that they do in markets such as the UK or US
- Drive new and grow existing account revenues
- Achieve quarterly sales targets
- Provide day-to-day support to allocated customers
- Manage brand direct and agency relationships
- Reporting on campaign performance
- Activate new customers through strategic selling
- Ensure customers are educated and informed of all new Spotify product offerings
- Fulfil all role functionalities associated with operations and sales
A typical day consists of:
- Educating brands & agencies on our platforms offering
- Preparing and presenting proposals (ad sales)
- Managing communications with agency & brand & ensuring ad performance is optimal
- Liaising with our Account Management and Brand Strategy teams for day-to-day support
- Sales experience (minimum 5 years)
- Digital marketing experience
- Knowledge of digital advertising products an advantage
- Knowledge of programmatic advertising an advantage
- Knowledge of South African agency landscape would be an advantage
- Excellent presentation skills – spoken and written
- Good numerical skills – create Keynote proposals and insertion orders independently
