Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Proofreader and Copy Editor ( 6 months Fixed Term Contract) at any existing Save The Children office location. A critical component of Save the Children’s success when conducting donor engagement and reporting or submitting funding proposals is producing high quality proposals, reports, and presentations for bilateral and multilateral donors. The main focus of the Proofreader and Copy Editor will be providing additional capacity for SC Country Offices in editing existing copy and text, proofreading language, and producing summaries where needed (e.g. Executive Summary sections for proposals and reports). This critical support enables other CO and Member staff to focus on more strategic functions.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Ability to write persuasively and clearly.
- A high degree of attention to detail.
- Good personal organisational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- A high degree of flexibility and adaptability in order to respond to changing needs.
- Fluency or high proficiency in English writing.
- INGO, NGO, or nonprofit experience.
Experience in developing funding proposals or communicating with donors.
