Supply Chain Manager Officer (1 post)at the Commission on Administrative Justice 

 Job description

This position is responsible to the Assistant Director Supply Chain management for procurement of
goods, works and services in line with the relevant laws to enable the Commission realize its mandate.

Main responsibilities

  • Analyze procurement data;
  •  Implement and enforce regulations and policies on supply chain management;
  • Consolidate budget estimates for the supply chain management function
  • Verify stores;
  • Coordinate receipt of goods and services from suppliers and issuance of the same to the consumers;
  • Provide support in stock taking exercise;
  •  Prepare stocks reconciliation reports;
  • Provide input in the preparation of procurement plans;
  • Appraise stores requisitions and issuance of store supplies.
  • Maintain records of goods purchased and disbursed;
  • Maintain safe custody of all procurement records and documents;
  • Maintain asset register of the Commission;
  • Ensure security and safe custody of stores;
  • Provide secretariat service to procurement committees;
  • Prepare and regularly update list of registered suppliers;
  • Liaise with user departments to identify obsolete and unserviceable stores for the Commission;
  •  Undertake market surveys and research;
  • Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time


For appointment to this position, a candidate must;

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Supply Chain management and Logistics, Purchasing and Supplies Management, Procurement and Supplies Management, Procurement, Commerce (Supplies Management option), Business Administration (Supplies Management option) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Must have a diploma in Supplies management or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Must have three (3) years of relevant experience with a reputable organization;
  • Knowledge of IFMIS will be an added advantage;
  • Membership to a relevant professional body;
  • Certificate in computer applications skills from a recognized institution

  • Kenya Revenue Authority
  • Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission
  • Directorate of Criminal Investigations (CID)
  • A credit reference bureau
  • Higher Education Loans Board
