Job description

Identifying critical interfaces and implementing a planned systematic methodology for working on multiple projects with multiple Clients;

  • Identifying and maintaining the key lines of communications between the Design Office and their Clients:
  • Identifying and mitigating risks encountered in the Design Projects;
  • Reviewing the assignments of the Engineering Team with the various Project Directors and Management
  • Keeping track of progress and adhering to deadlines as prescribed by the Design Office Manager
  • Able to review Engineering Drawings and checking quality of work prepared
  • Management the production of the design (geometry, drainage, and structural designs) including the Technical
  • Management and coordination of the design team formed by Design engineers and CAD technicians
  • Coordinate with other Design teams (Geotechnical, Structures, Environment, Buildings located in other Design Offices etc.) and with the various stakeholders, compiling the information and managing the interfaces between the different fields of expertise
  • Oversight the production and review of Design Reports, Bills of Quantities, Costs Estimates and all written documents related to his activity
  • Active reporting to the Project Director/Manager on progress, outstanding issues,
  • Data Collection and Collation
  • Performing such duties as may be required by the Project Director / Project Manager from time to tim


  •         Post graduate qualification would be an added advantage
  •         10 years of experience as Senior Highway Engineer
  •         Exposure to the design of Grade Separated Interchanges, Motorways and Expressways
  •         Minimum 4 years’ experience with an international engineering consulting company
  •         Construction background would be a plus
  •         Fluent in English
  •         Knowledge in French would be added advantage
  •         Experience as external checker on Project Drawings
  •         A Team Player able to work under pressure and demonstrate professional coordination
  •         Effective interpersonal, communication and multi-tasking skills
  •         Decisiveness and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  •         Proactive Approach
