The International Planned Parenthood Federation Africa Region (IPPFAR) is the leading sexual and reproductive health (SRH) service delivery organization in Africa and the leading sexual and reproductive health and rights advocacy voice in the region through its Member Associations (MAs) in 37 countries.
Youth Officer (Packard Budget Support Project)
The post holder will coordinate the youth internship and engagement as well as the young leadership programme, an initiative of the Africa Regional Office. S/he will provide technical support,addressing particularly youth empowerment interventions, advocacy and programme management for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). S/he will been trusted to ensure the sustainability of the initiative.
Master’s level degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Government, Public or Project Administration, Public Policy, Social Policy, or other relevant disciplines
• A minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in social development planning and management in youth and adolescent development related areas is required
• Experience in youth and adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights is also required
• Relevant intergovernmental experience will be an added advantage.
English and French are the working languages of the ARO. For this post fluency in English and French (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage.
