Position Title: Teachers Training Consultant
Location: Dadaab, Garissa County, Kenya

Windle International – Kenya (WIK), a member of Windle International (www.windle.org), is a humanitarian
organization providing education to refugees and communities in conflict areas. WIK was founded in 1977 with the
belief that good education was essential if Africa was to meet the challenges it faced. In Kenya, WIK is working with
communities in Dadaab, Fafi, Wajir South, Turkana West, Turkana North districts as well as Dadaab and Kakuma
Refugee Camps on education projects.
About the training:
WIK is committed to implementing its commitments to provision of quality education to the refugees and host
communities. The COVID – 19 pandemic has disrupted learning for most of the leaners in the country which is a
threat to attainment of quality education in our schools. It is therefore imperative for seamless learning post COVID –
19 to ensure that refugees do not lose out on essential learning times. The training is on post COVID – 19 coping
mechanisms, hygiene and sanitation and targets 164 teachers drawn from IFO, Dagahaley and Hagadera camps.
As the Teacher Training Consultant you will in consultation with the project team:
I. Develop Training content to increase the knowledge and skills of the targeted teachers on how to cope post COVID – 19 and maintain hygiene and sanitation in order to ensure that learning goals are met.
II. Deliver teachers training based on the developed content and;
III. Develop a post training monitoring/follow-up plan to track and support teachers implement training content
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor Degree/Diploma in a Medical related field and/or a Certificate in Infectious Disease
- Excellent capacity building skills, with demonstrated experience in effective content development, training,
coaching and facilitation
- Excellent report writing skills;
