Makueni County Public Service Board is established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act 2012. The Board was inaugurated on the 5th of August, 2013 as a body corporate with perpetual succession and seal capable of suing and being sued in its corporate name. It is composed of a Chairman, five Board Members and a Secretary all appointed by the Governor with approval of the County Assembly. Electrical Engineer at Makueni County Public Service Board

Roles and responsibilities technical operator electrical

  • Trouble shooting and repair production equipment, electrical breakdown in timely manner.
  • Assist in development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedule of plant equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of plant and equipment to reduce breakdown and attain availability of above 85%.
  • Install, maintain and repair plant electrical facilities
  • Propose and assist in implementation of continuous improvement of the project.
  • Liaise with plant engineer to ensure availability of electrical consumables for the plant
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
  • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.

Qualifications

  • BSc in electrical or electrical and electronic engineering from a recognized institution
  • Advanced diploma in electrical or electrical and electronic engineering
  • At least six years professional experience in food processing industry.
  • Registered with relevant professional body
