Under the guidance and supervision of the Communications Manager, the Communications Officer will assist in developing AECF’s communications strategies and plans, develop internal and external communications products, create as well as manage content on AECF’s digital platforms. The role holder will lead efforts in developing clear and powerful messages, utilising multiple channels tailored to target audiences at country, regional, and global levels. Working closely with key staff in the Strategy and Partnerships unit to aggregate, package, and tailor information gathered through AECF’s grant making activities to raise the visibility of AECF as well as support and amplify the institution’s program work.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, International Relations, Information Management, Media Relations, Journalism, Development Studies, or related field (post–graduate qualification will be an added advantage)
- Any additional professional qualifications in Communications, Marketing and Public Relations
