Reporting directly to the Country Manager, the Finance Expert will provide strategic leadership and management of the Company’s resources. The Finance Expert will work closely with the Country manager and the Management Team to achieve set goals, targets, and policies of the Company.

Responsibilities

The Finance expert shall undertake the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the overall financial operations of the company, as well as the overall work of the Finance Sector.
  • Organization of company resource management to improve company efficiency, cost optimization and profit maximization
  • Making an analysis of the financial operations of the market and defining a plan for further business.
  • Cash flow and liquidity management.
  • Compiling regular cash flow plans.
  • Monitoring the implementation of the cash flow plan. 
  • Providing commission payments to franchise partners.
  • Establishing and developing relationships with senior management and external partners and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring the implementation of payments to players through the current account and sending payment orders, order verification or cancellation of payment according to the bank statement.
  • Supervising and monitoring the preparation of the daily report of money transactions of depositing and withdrawing money at payment points.
  • Monitoring the process of controlling the state of money and deleting cash in the system.
  • Supervision of cash withdrawal control by payment points according to the surplus specification.
  • Receipt of documentation, filing, classification and forwarding to the appropriate services.
  • Preparation of a table with daily payment obligations.
  • Accounting for posted invoices on the Company accounts and changing the status of documents.
  • Review of balances on commercial bank accounts and preparation of transfer orders for transfer of funds.
  • Manually creating orders and accounting for them.
  • Receipt of documentation, filing, classification and forwarding to the appropriate services.
  • Preparation of a table with daily payment obligations.
  • Review of balances on commercial bank accounts and preparation of transfer orders for funds transfer.

Qualifications

  • High level problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • High level of integrity and ethical business practice.
  • Articulate and effective communicator.
  • Proven and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence stakeholders. 
  • Assertive, pro-active, diligent, and committed to high standards of service delivery.
  • High knowledge in the field of mathematics, statistics and analysis, excellent knowledge of the basics of management (setting the vision, mission, goals of the company). 
  • Excellent knowledge of internal regulations (statute, regulations, contracts). 
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of business goals and strategies.
  • Excellent knowledge in use of IT. 
  • Be a Kenyan Citizen of sound mind.
  • Holds a Bachelors’ degree in Economics, Finance and Banking from recognised institution or
  • Holds a Masters’ Degree in Finance/Strategic Management or equivalent post-graduate qualification.
  • Accounting certification CPA(K)/ACCA. 
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of banking and accounting systems
