Cysuites Apartment Hotel is an apartment hotel located along Church Road, off Waiyaki Way in Nairobi’s bustling Westland’s area. The hotel offers 32 two-bedroom apartment, 6 one-bedroom apartment and 2 penthouses.

These apartments offer contemporary living and working spaces fitted with amenities to meet the needs of short and extended stays to both business and leisure travelers

The all-day dining restaurant serves a variety of both Kenyan and continental dishes. The bar area features a fine selection of wines alongside a wide range of spirits and Signature Cocktails.

The hotel has fitness facilities to help you keep up with your fitness regime while staying with us.

We are looking for a highly motivated and self-driven, team player to work at CySuites Apartments Hotel as a Chef de Partie. The Chef de Partie will be reporting to the Head Chef, and will be responsible for preparing food products of the highest quality in terms of freshness, taste, and consistency, with strict adherence to food and health guidelines and in accordance with the policies, procedures, and standards established to ensure maximum internal and external customer satisfaction


  1. Plan and direct the food preparation and culinary activities on a daily basis
  2. Prepare and cook foods of all types as per the menu offer
  3. Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays
  4. Liaise daily with the Head Chef and F&B Manager to keep open lines of communication regarding guest feedback
  5. Work hand in hand with the Head Chef in modifying menus or creating new ones that meet quality standards
  6. Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services
  7. Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
  8. Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients
  9. Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
  10. Supervise and coordinate activities of junior staff engaged in food preparation
  11. Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met
  12. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
  13. Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to junior staff
  14. Continually strive to improve food preparation and presentations
  15. Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily shift briefings
  16. Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
  17. Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  18. Estimate food requirements and food costs
  19. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  20. Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time


  1. A Diploma / Certificate in Food and Beverage production
  2. Minimum 4 years working experience in a similar position
  3. Demonstrate real passion for menu planning and leadership
  4. Good knowledge HACCP and other procedures in Food Production
  5. Computer literacy in Microsoft Window applications is an asset
  6. Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  7. Highly responsible & reliable
  8. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  9. Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  10. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
