Goals:
In our construction division, a fiber splicer responsibility will be to splice optic cables in both indoor and outdoor settings. He will need to create and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams. He will need to maintain adequate splicing notes, respect timelines and provide accurate inspecting and troubleshooting

Key Task & Functions :
- Splice fiber optic cables, both loose tubes and ribbon optic cables.
- Create and maintain splicing sheets
- Understand and interpret drawings, splicing diagrams and blueprints
- Enter and maintain outside plant records
- Perform maintenance and recognize and repair route issues
Qualifications & Skills :
- Fiber splicing experience an asset
- Knowledge and experience with aerial and underground infrastructure, fiber, HFC, and coaxial systems
- Knowledge and experience using Windows computers and MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel)Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production, technical plans, blueprints, drawings, etc
- Experience with working at heights
