As a software developer Web Specialist at StepWise, you will work directly with our developer team and to develop new software features. To be successful, you must be equally comfortable interacting with business executives and diving into a detailed discussion with technical experts. You will work directly with the developer team to understand the needs of our cus tomer s and navig a t e the de velopmen t and deploymen t of comple x software features. We are looking for a talen ted Web Specialis t who is an IT professional specializing in de veloping web applic ations.
Responsibilities
- The selected candidate will be involved in real-world, cutting edge technology projects that benefit both the intern and the companies that support our program.
- Consistently create well-designed, tested code using best practices for website development, including mobile and responsive site design
- Create websites and userinterfaces, using standardHTML/CSS/Bootstrap practices,while incorporating data fromback-end databases and services
- Create and maintain workflowswith teams to provide visibility andto ensure workload balance forconsistent visual designs
- Develop or validate testingschedules, addressing all browsersand devices to ensure various computers can access content
- Maintain updated knowledge ofnew and emerging industry trendsand technology
Requirements
- Pursuing a BS/BA in Management Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly.
- Desire to build a career inInformation Technology.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within campusand/or the community.
- Strong problem solving andbusiness process skills.
- Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills
Skills
- Proficient with HTML and CSS
- Knowledge with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, JavaScript or C# is a plus.
- A solid understanding of how web applications work including security session management and best development practices.
- Basic knowledge of relational database systems, object oriented programming and web application development.
- Basic knowledge of search engineoptimization process.
- Aggressive problem diagnosis andcreative problem solving skills.
- Ability to work and thrive in afast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
- Knowledge in PHP frameworks such as Laravell is a plus.
