The Kilifi County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions.

Livestock Production Officer J/G ‘K’ (4 Posts) RE: CG/KLF/CPSB/ADVRT/28/09/21
Duties and responsibilities
a) Preparing livestock technical information
b) Providing technical advice in animal production
c) Livestock marketing, range management and ranching
d) Promoting economic livestock farming
e) Participating in organizing extension activities which include field days, agricultural shows, field demonstration, farmer field schools and farm visits
f) Participating in collaborative research activities
g) Disseminating livestock production technologies such as construction of livestock housing and structures, milk production, pasture and fodder production and conservation, farm planning, gross margin analysis, on-farm feed formulation
h) Implementation livestock production programmes/projects in such areas as dairy cattle farming, beef cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, rabbits, camels, donkeys breeding programmes, fodder production and conversation, value addition to livestock products, emerging livestock and other animal husbandry interventions
i) Capturing, maintaining and storing livestock data
Requirements for appointment
• Must be a Kenyan citizen.
• Bachelor of Science in any of the following disciplines:- Animal science, Animal production, Range Management, Livestock Economics, Dairy Technology from a recognized institution.
• Certificate in computer applications.
Terms of service: Permanent
Salary Scale: Ksh. 38,270 – 51,170 p.m
Other Allowances as are issued by SRC.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to present originals of the following
documents during the interviews;
1. National Identity Card;
2. Academic and Professional Certificates and transcripts;
3. Any other supporting documents and testimonials;
4. Current clearances from the following bodies:
i. Kenya Revenue Authority;
ii. Higher Education Loans Board;
iii. A Registered Credit Reference Bureau; and
iv. Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Police Clearance Certificate)
v. Self-Declaration Form duly stamped by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission; and
vi. Recommendations from relevant professional bodies and associations (where applicable).
