Maintenance Technician

Job description

  1. Plan while adhering to annual maintenance plan for the machines in order to ensure that servicing is done for all machines at their scheduled time
  2. Review daily worksheets in order to ensure all machines and equipment are performing optimally
  3. Generate reports on machines and equipment performance on a daily basis to monitor their efficiency and breakdown
  4. Purchase spare parts and keep their records in order to ensure constant availability of efficiently working machines
  5. Train machine operators to ensure they have requisite skills to operate the machines and equipment properly with minimal breakdowns
  6. Repair the machines’ electrical and mechanical faults to ensure proper functioning of mechanical/electrical devices in the company to ensure 100% capacity utilisation.
  7. Participate in the procurement of new machinery by giving guidance their suitability, durability and usability.
