AIC Health Ministries invites applications from experienced persons to fill the position of HRIO

Duty Station: AICHM Kalobeyei/Kakuma health facilities

Report to M/E Officer

Key Duties and responsibilities:

1. In collaboration with M &E Officer work towards strengthening system for data collection, management, analysis and synthesis of monitoring data in line with MoH requirements.
2. Disseminate program results at facility’s progress review meetings and other stakeholder forums.
3. Put in measures to ensure Health care workers understand MoH/partner reporting requirements
including use of tools, indicator definitions and reporting through continuous on job training/mentorship, continuously identify data tools requirements.
4. Maintain data security and confidentiality.
5. Guide the facility staff on effective data management especially on correct and complete documentation.
6. Ensure timely entry of data into project custom data bases.
7. Strengthen use of data for decision making by supporting AICHM to conduct data review meetings at
health facility and community levels.
8. Ensure the facility EMR is up-to-date, and perform regular back-up of EMRs.
9. Build skills and capacity of program staffs to ensure data quality including ability to conduct routine data quality assessments.
10. Strengthen use of data for decision making at facility level.
11. Work with facility staff to ensure timely entry of HMIS data.
12. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements for Appointment:

A candidate must: –

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Have a Degree in Heath Records and information from a recognized institution.
  • Must be registered by Association of Medical Records Officers of Kenya (AMRO-K)
  • Demonstrate strong managerial skills, Communication skills and trustworthiness.
  • Experience in data analysis and presenting statistical reports
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, including knowledge of common statistical software packages, health information technologies and software applications, relational database systems and web technologies (including KHIS)
