Job description

  1. Understand the cleaning procedures of the machines used in the produce area.
  2. Knows the correct concentrations of detergents to clean oily areas.
  3. Demonstrates the ability to sort and pre-grade potatoes according to the corresponding sizes.
  4. Able to inspect, select and remove damaged potatoes.
  5. Knows how to accurately record and weigh potatoes, and vegetables.
  6. Able to quickly and accurately remove the potatoes eyes.
  7. Knows how to identify a poorly rumbled potato and in turn be able to dispose them accurately.
  8. Able to use the potato peeler, blast chiller and friers with minimal supervision.
  9. Understand how to correctly clean, assemble, and disassemble the ice cream machine.
  10. Can carry out quality checks and ensure quality is maintained.
  11. Understand the time and temperature of blanching.
  12. Able to correctly weigh and dispatch blanched chips as per the branch orders.
  13. Ensures that frozen chips are well sealed, batched and frozen.
  14. Knows where the liquid, solid, organic, hazardous, and recyclable wastes are disposed.
  15. Able to segregate the wastes into different categories for proper waste removal.
  16. Report all incident or accidents observed at the workplace to the Team Leader
  17. Achieve all set annual Performance Development plans as agreed with the Team Leader
  18. Pursue continued improvement in personal development by participating in development programs and training.
  19. Displays positive attitude, works harmoniously with colleagues, and displays healthy respect for others that will support optimum team working environment.
