Migori County Public Service Board and Migori Health Management CoAg (TUKICHEKI), in line with the Constitution of Kenya 2010 under Article 176 and the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012 Section 59(1) (b) is seeking suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions:

Term: One year contract renewable subject to performance and availability of resources

Position Summary

To manage a pharmacy and coordinate all activities of commodities management pertaining to HIV/AIDS
drugs for the site.

Duties and responsibilities

i. Ensure good storage and inventory management practices are adhered to in the facility.

ii. Participate in the multidisciplinary committee to set and periodically evaluate annual department

iii. Develop, review and regularly update the standard operating procedures manual for management,
distributions of ARVs and related commodities.

iv. Participate in the health facility medicine and therapeutic committee (MTC) as the secretary of
the medicine and therapeutic committee (MTC) or proxy to prepare circulate and file the MTC

v. Together with other MTC members, review and regularly update health facility on medicine.

vi. Promote pharma-covigilance activities at the facility, analyze reports and ensure submission to

vii. Ensure the web ADT (or recommended pharmacy software) is in use and well maintained (in-
charge of the pharmacy computer)

viii. Give the ART clinical team updates on the availability and usage of drugs.

ix. Dispense ARVs and O drugs to patients in ART program.

x. Ensure accurate use of pharmacy registers i.e. DARs,PV Tracking log

xi. Promote good pharmacy practice by providing and adhering to appropriate dispensing
environment and practice: offering medication use and adherence counselling as a minimum
standard of care to all patients.

xii. Ensure timely submission of monthly commodity reports to the central sites (by 5th of every
month) and national mechanisms as applies to the facility

xiii. Member of the pharmacy and CCC ream (active members of CQ team).

xiv. Oversee pharmacy activities in the facility.

xv. Reform any reasonable work related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the

Requirements for Appointment

i. Be a holder of Diploma in Pharmacy and Registered with Pharmacy and poison Board.

ii. Minimum 2 years of work experience post registration preferably in a HIV setting.

iii. Knowledge of and experience in commodity Management

iv. Experience on pharmacovigilance repor

Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC)
Certificate of good conduct from Criminal Investigation Department
