COMMERCIAL MANAGER 1 POSITION
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities;
i. Formulation and implementation of sound financial and accounting policies and procedures
ii. Managing and supervising the Company’s business / commercial operations
iii. Develop long term business strategies and operating plans that reflect the long term goals and priorities
iv. Compute information systems in the commercial departments
v. Ensuring timely, complete and accurate billing for services and subsequent recovery of owed funds
vi. Coordinating budgeting and budget control procedures
vii. Liaison with both internal and external auditors
viii. Preparation, analysis interpretation and implementation of annual performance contracts and strategic plans and issue reports on variances
ix. Ensuring provision of comprehensive commercial information systems, including up to date customer database to achieve the overall water supply revenue objectives
x. Developing internal staff capacity within the company
xi. Perform any other lawful duty as may be assigned from time to time by the managing director
Appointment Specification
Applicants should have the following qualification
i. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Strategic Management or any other Business-related field from a recognized institution.
ii. Must have served in a comparable position with similar responsibilities in like organizations for a period of five (5) years, 3 years in senior management
iii. Holder of CPA (K), ACCA or relevant professional qualification
iv. Conversant with donor reporting requirements
v. Have a wide experience in water sector
vi. Demonstrate outstanding leadership capabilities
vii. Have a high degree of integrity and dependability
viii. Have good interpersonal and communication skills
ix. Must fulfill requirements of chapter six (6) of the Kenyan Constitution
