VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: ICT ASSISTANT (JSG 8)
Job Reference Number: V/No. 21/2022
Number of Positions: Thirty One (31)
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Gross Salary Scale: Kshs. 83,300 – 106,400 p.m.
Job Purpose:
The job holder will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing system and network issues and provide user support.
Reporting Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible to the Senior ICT Assistant
Area of Deployment: Court Stations
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Assisting in the implementation of the computer systems;
ii. Providing user support and training of users;
iii. Undertaking the basic development of ICT solutions and projects;
iv. Monitoring the performance of Information Communication Technology
equipment;
v. Troubleshooting system and network issues and diagnosing and solving
hardware or software faults;
vi. Maintaining printers, photocopiers, scanners and other peripherals to
ensure availability of service;
vii. Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and
applications;
viii. Preparing hardware/software specifications for Information
Communication Technology network equipment/systems;
ix. Talking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face to face or
over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues; and
x. Reporting any faults for further action.
Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: –
i. A Diploma in any of the following fields: Computer Science, Information
Technology, Information and Communication Technology or its
equivalent from a recognized institution; and
ii. Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and
results.

• Kenya Revenue Authority
• Higher Education Loans Board
• Directorate of Criminal Investigation
• Ethics and Anti–Corruption Commission
• A recognized Credit Reference Bureau; and
• Clearance from relevant professional body.
