Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK) is a national faith-based organization of the Protestant Churches committed to promoting universal access to quality health care in Kenya. CHAK is a consortium partner in the USAID funded ACHAP – Afya Project which is implemented in Kenya and Uganda with the Africa Christian Health Associations Platform (ACHAP) as the Prime. The project is a three-year RMNCAH project with the goal to reduce maternal and child morbidity and mortality in Kenya and Uganda covering the period July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2023.

CHAK is looking to recruit a suitable candidate to fill the position of Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant to be based in Kilifi.

Reporting to the Project Monitoring and Evaluation officer, the key responsibilities include:

  1. Support in training on data entry using specific tools and conduct site visits to ensure data is collected accurately
  2. Work closely with the Service Delivery Advisor to ensure timely reporting from the supported sites
  3. Collate data from supported sites on a monthly basis, conduct verify, validate and provide feedback on gaps observed to improve data quality
  4. Submit data to M&E Officer and support in compilation of monthly project progress reports
  5. Conduct site visits for RDQAs and DQAs in conjunction with the M&E Officer, Senior Program Officer, Program officer and the county team
  6. Work closely with the county/sub-county HRIOs to continually address data quality issues observed
  7. Conduct facility-based data review meetings to support health facilities and communities to implement data-to-action frameworks to drive local data consumption for data-driven decision making
  8. Participate in county/sub-county data review meetings and RH&M&E TWGs with various partners, including local implementing partners, county and sub-county health management teams, to discuss progress on RH indicators
