Reporting into Head of Direct Sales

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Consolidating country level sales issues, strategies and action plans and feeding them back to the Global Head of Sales
  • Creating regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
  • Report on regional sales results
  • Identify hiring needs, select and train new country sales managers
  • Participate in decisions for expansion or acquisition
  • Supporting the Country Sales Managers in their day-to-day operation
  • Managing the Country Sales Managers and ensuring they have the necessary tools and support to deliver on their roles
  • Support Country Sales Managers in developing & implementing their country sales strategies in order to meet their targets
  • Identify sales opportunities as well as sales initiatives to capture new market segments
  • Monitoring and analyzing market trends, changing trends, supply and demand as well as competitors’ activities in the region, in order to maintain the right sales volumes and product mix
  • Coaching, mentoring and leading the Country Sales Managers to perform at the best of their abilities and deliver on results
  • Relaying customer insights and sales data to the relevant teams to support the right product and strategy development
  • Maintain rapport with other regional managers, as well as internal and external stakeholders to ensure all are working towards achieving targets
  • Lead essential Regional and Country calls

Requirements & Skills

  • 10+ years in sales management and experience
  • 5+ years in a managerial role
  • Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager or similar senior sales role
  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Background in FMCG sales is a plus
  • Understanding of retail store operations
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high performance sales team
  • Experience in managing cross-border teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Availability to travel as needed
  • BSc degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field.
