The Company

We are a fast-growing non-profit social enterprise with offices in the Netherlands, Portugal, South Africa, Kenya, and Ethiopia. Triggerise builds digital platforms that motivate users – primarily young women and adolescent girls – to make positive choices. We work together with local communities and use nudges like reminders, discounts, and reward points to encourage our users to access and use health products and services. We also support our users in becoming entrepreneurs and adding value to their economies.

For this position, we are open to remote work and will happily accept applicants from any Triggerise Location (Portugal, South Africa, Amsterdam, Kenya, Ethiopia, India).

The Job

You are responsible for the recruitment of new Triggerise colleagues!  This includes taking responsibility for the hiring process from job advertising to shortlisting applicants, directly searching for candidates, and guiding them through each step. You’ll’ prioritize Triggerise’s recruitment needs, and mentor the recruitment team.  

  • Actively search for candidates across Africa, India and Europe. 
  • Work closely with hiring managers in order to coordinate, and streamline the hiring process.
  • Pre-screen applicants, ensuring they’re a fit from both a skills, and culture perspective.
  • Manage the recruitment pipeline and prioritize vacancies to manage team workloads. 
  • Write and post job adverts on various platforms, including Glassdoor and Indeed.
  • Work together with hiring managers and the CPO to compile and finalize job descriptions.
  • Coach and mentor team members.

About you

You enjoy interacting with people and have a natural ability to put people at ease, for example, when conducting pre-screens. You are a good communicator and take time to listen to applicants, and requirements from hiring managers. Having recruited on a global level, you’re confident recruiting across multiple locations.

  • 4+ years of recruitment experience in an agency, or in-house.
  • Experience recruiting across a number of disciplines, including Technology specialists.
  • A keen interest to coach and mentor team members
  • An eye for detail and the ability to spot a relevant application.
  • Experience in directly searching for applicants.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication.

The rewards

At Triggerise we believe in being open, also when it comes to salaries. The salary brackets per month for this position, excluding benefits, is R39 458- R59 186  in South Africa, KSH214 411 – KSH 321 616 in Kenya, and €2 063 – €3 095 in Portugal. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
