Job Title: Internal Auditor

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: –

1. Preparing audit   test   procedures,  notifications   and   request   for information memos;
2. Conducting preliminary reviews of the areas to be audited;
3. Carrying out audit tests on internal controls in all processes;
4. Ensuring that the audit working and paper files are complete and well referenced;
5. Preparing draft audit reports;
6. Drafting risk-based audit plans, programmes and schedules.

Job Specification

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: –

1. Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
2. Possess Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Part II, CPA III will be an added advantage;
3. Be proficient in computer applications; and
4. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
