Job Title: Senior ICT Assistant

Job Description

The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:

1. Providing advice   of    ICT    hardware,  software,  network   and communication devices and equipment;
2. Participating in acceptance test, supervision and commissioning of ICT systems/equipment;
3. Providing support and guidance to ICT in the use of ICT equipment and devices;
4. Participating in implementing programs for safeguarding data integrity of all systems.
5. Providing for system/application availability through the necessary technical support/upgrades;
6. Routine installation, configuration servicing, repair and maintenance of computer hardware and network;
7. Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual maintenance and repair reports; and
8. Participating in committee meetings as appropriate.

Job Specification

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

1. Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information, Communication Technology, or equivalent from a recognized institution;
2. Two (2) years relevant work experience;
3. Conversant with software’s’ used for semen processing and liquid nitrogen production;
4. Demonstrated results in work performance; and
5. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
