Responsible to the Senior Legal Officer on all legal matters.
The County Solicitor shall be the principal assistant of the County Attorney in the execution of the functions of the County Attorney.
Performs varied work that involves moderate initiative and responsibility, to assist in-house and outside counsels with complex and variable matters.
This position’s purpose is to support and guide Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) during the pilot and roll out of this product, focussing on countries in East and Southern Africa.
The primary role and responsibility of the Legal Fellows shall be conducting specialised legal research and analysis, as well as drafting legal memos and opinions on women’s and girls’ rights, as assigned by the Judges to whom the Legal Fellows are attached.
In consultation with the Head of Advocacy and Communications and the Africa team, s/he crafts relevant strategies and provides strategic and contextual advice and counsel regarding advocacy and policy issues related to SRHR in Africa.
She/he will lead the development of evidence-based policy positions in close coordination with technical experts, conceptualize and coordinate the implementation of policy, advocacy, and communications strategies, and represent the Center at global, regional, and national forums.
With the support of the Senior Technical Advisor, s/he will be responsible for the country specific planning, implementation, and reporting of the project.
The Corporation Secretary/Chief Legal Officer provides legal advisory and support services to the Board of Directors and Management of KAA. The role entails provision of both secretarial services, legal advice and ensuring statutory compliance and management of the litigation function of the Authority.
