The Legal Officer will provide legal support to the business and negotiate claims with third parties.
To develop and execute day-to-day engagement with relevant officials in National and County offices, statutory organizations, Commissions, Authorities and any other organizations holding administrative authority which affects Safaricom’s operations.
To provide legal advice to the Lake Victoria Basin Commission as well as rendering other legal services.
To provide legal advice and support to forced migrants and host communities on economic inclusion as well as support the organization in administrative legal matters in an effective and efficient manner.
Provide legal advice to clients: take their briefs, refer distressed clients for counselling and conduct mediation between parties, Prepare pleadings and legal briefs, Court attendance
The Senior Lawyer will report to the Project Coordinator with dotted reporting lines to the E.D and will be responsible for the overall supervision of all CREAW’s legal activities in all programs and in compliance with CREAW standards and operating procedures.
Prepare contract documents, leases and agreements between the office and other stakeholders and monitor legal obligations under the agreement to ensure compliance
The Women’s Rights Programme Officer will be a core member of the Women’s Rights Programme team and will be responsible for implementing specific projects through effective programme management approaches, supporting partners to develop organisational capacity building, to deliver a high-quality women’s rights programmes and to establish and maintain linkages with other thematic and programmatic areas as well as with relevant state and non-state actors particularly at County level.
