The legal officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements namely Acts of Parliament, Sacco By-laws, rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
The position will ensure that the Bank’s needs to provide adequate controls over the risks encountered in the post-credit granting stage of the credit process are satisfied by ensuring the appropriateness, consistency, validity and enforceability of all collateral confirming that all collateral and legal documentation in respect of business banking facilities .
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing secretarial support to the Board of Management and Board Committees; facilitate, organize and coordinate Board activities; ensure the Hospital is compliant with the relevant statutory and regulatory requirements as well as ensure that high standards of corporate governance are maintained in line with the Law and the Hospital’s strategic objectives
The core function of this position is the coordination of activities (operations and planning) and ensuring timely flow of information to and from the executive office.
The position will provide provide sound legal advice that protects the Authority’s interest and ensures compliance with legal regulatory, contractual and good governance requirements.
The experts are expected to set objective and quality examination questions in accordance with prescriptions of Council.
