Responsibilities:

  • Follow set communication guidelines in addressing various customer issues.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of customer products and services to make
  • suitable recommendations based on customers’ needs and preferences.
  • Aggressively creating and pursuing new leads to ensure weekly and monthly individual targets are met.
  • Initiating sales with potential customers over the phone.
  • Managing sales pipeline and updating the team leader on progress
  • Asking questions to engage customers and keep the conversation going.
  • Listening to the customers’ needs to generate repeat sales.
  • Answering customers’ questions on the products.
  • Calling existing and potential customers to persuade them to retain or purchase company products and services.
  • Provide quotes to clients and potential clients.
  • Follow set communication guidelines in addressing the needs and problems faced by customers.
  • Qualify leads and follow up as appropriate.
  • Continually meeting or exceeding weekly and monthly targets with respect to call volume and sales
  • Place outbound calls to customers to promote new products and services.
  • Ensure call records are properly stored and organized in a call center database.
  • Developing and sustaining solid relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Ensure daily shift call quotas and set targets are achieved.
  • Provide periodic reports to company management on work activities.
  • Upsell products and services to customers when providing telecommunication solutions.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Competences

  • Basic level of proficiency with Windows based applications such as MS Office, Excel, Word
  • Proficient ability to analyze data and develop recommendations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintains a professional/customer service focus at all times.

Skills and competencies

  • 1+ years Sales experience Preferred.
  • 2+ months professional experience in an office setting using the telephone and computer as primary instruments to perform the job duties.
  • Business related degree
  • Progress in Professional qualification in insurance e.g., ACII, COP preferred.
  • Knowledge in customer service principles and practices
  • Experience working in the Insurance industry preferred.
