About the Role

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, your primary responsibility will be to plan, analyse, design, build, test, and deploy Microsoft technology infrastructures in Azure, and other related technologies. You will apply functional knowledge and technical expertise in the designing of systems to support customer needs and contribute to our vast repository of intellectual property. Additionally, you will coach, train, and mentor team members and customers. This is a technical client-facing role that will be accountable for the end-to-end client cloud deployment experience. You will occasionally be involved in the selling of cloud solutions, proposal development, change requirements, marketing/PR initiatives, developing customer relationships, and analysing the customer’s business.

Responsibilities

• Drive design and deployment of clients’ workloads into Azure by providing architectural guidance (including, design, implementation, and deployment), supporting development of the client’s cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers.
• Work closely with application, network, and security teams to ensure requirements are reflected appropriately in the Azure design.
• Partner with the sales team to support sales efforts by setting the cloud vision, providing thought leadership and strategy to our clients.
• Review and evaluate architectures of existing systems and software products to identify reuse and platforming opportunities.
• Engage with leadership and clients in strategic discussions to assess business requirements, cost-effective services and use cases.
• Lead RFP/Request for Proposals and RFI/Request for Information answers in terms of architectures, resources, costs, project plan and roadmap to drive outcomes and ensure maximum client satisfaction.
• Perform assessments to determine the technical feasibility of building a cloud solution as well as helping build POCs/Proof of Concepts and define MVPs/Minimum Viable Products as needed.
• Nurture cloud computing expertise internally and externally to drive cloud adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent experience
• Relevant industry certifications: Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
• 3 or more years architect experience including design, implementation, and maintaining critical infrastructure.
• Knowledge of infrastructure solutions, especially in relation to Microsoft programs, platform migration, system security, enterprise directories, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with identity management (Windows Active Directory, AD Connect, AD Federated Services, Multi Factor Authentication)
• Experience with Azure technologies (Operations Management Suite, Application Insights, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Security Center, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure Automation)
• Experience with scripting technologies (PowerShell, Bash, Azure Resource Manager Templates, Desired State Configuration, JSON)
• Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior executives and growing cloud consumption shares in large or highly strategic clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work in roles with growing responsibility within professional services/management consulting or technology firms positioning solutions against competitors and supporting account teams in a proactive way.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
